out of reach

Nope...I'm not a small child, but a large majority of my cabinets are still of reach and I spend a good part of my kitchen time reaching for something and hoping that it doesn't come crashing down. (I had a close call last night) Any ideas of where I can get a charming step stool that won't pinch my fingers when I fold it up and isn't made of metal and rubber?

Hi Kelsey, I love getting cooking ideas from this blog. I noticed you needed a stepping stool. Ikea has some great wooden ones for a great price but the downfall is they do not fold up.

Lindsey beat me to it. We have that wooden ikea stepstool. Doesn't fold up, but it's pretty so leaving it out it doesn't look ugly. And it's sturdy, not wobbly, which I think is crucial in a stepstool.
