
I recently answered this question for a publication... "What 5 ingredients would you reccommend that every home cook have on hand." This was my response:
5. butter
4. fresh herbs (including garlic...I know, it's a stretch)
3. salt (kosher)
2. bread...really, really good bread
1. cheese (right now I'm falling in love with fontina)
*Honorable Mention: fesh vegetables, pork/beef tenderloin
